One of my favorite little clients just turned one, and he had an adorable, themed cake smash to celebrate!

The sweet boys' parents added on family portraits to their cake smash, so we started with those. Family portraits are a great addition to a cake smash photoshoot. They give you refreshed images of your family to help you celebrate your baby's first birthday!

Then we took a few photos of Alexander on a blue backdrop, a throwback to his newborn session, with wooden letters.

Then it was time for cake! His mother and father chose a classic Winnie the Pooh theme for his photoshoot, and the whole thing was adorable.

Alexander was quick to explore his cake, putting his hand on it, squishing it, and taking his first bite.

While he didn't take many more bites, he sure had a blast smashing his cake! Look at how much fun he had:

I'd say that's a happy one-year-old!
