A Classic Cake Smash Photoshoot | Delaware Photography Studio

Damien is officially one! To kick of his birthday celebrations, he came to my photography studio for a cake smash.

We started his classic cake smash with some simple portraits.


Sometimes babies come into the studio a little unsure, and that's okay! Starting with simple portraits not only gives you more variety in your final gallery; it also gives your little one time to warm up and get comfortable in the studio. We even included Damien's brother in some images which helped him get comfortable.

Then it was time for cake!

His mother chose green for his balloon garland, one of my favorite colors for boy's birthday photoshoots.

Finally, my secret weapon (a wooden spoon) broke Damien completely out of his shell!

I think it's safe to say by the end of his cake smash photoshoot, he was having a blast!
